11 days with the highlights of the Disco Bay, you decide yourself what destinations your package tour should contain – see below our a la carte.

The tour starts with a flight to Ilulissat with transfer in Kangerlussuaq. Ilulissat is with its big and famous Ice Fiord a natural center in North Greenland for both tourism, trade and politics. Use the days here to shorter or longer trekkingtours to the Icefiord, visit the birth home of Knud Rasmussen, which now is a museum, and join one of the many boat tours, taking you even closer to the gigantic icebergs. Hotel Icefiord, which will be your main base during the days in Ilulissat is situated such, that all rooms have a view to the Disco Bay and from the sunny terrace it is a good opportunity to enjoy the surrounding nature.

The basic package contains 10 overnight stay in Ilulissat, but we recommend you add one or several of below mentioned a la carte packages incl. accommodation, enable you to visit other places and cities. Besides this it is also possible to take daily tours from the different cities – read more about these excursions here. After 10 days in the gleam of the midnight sun, satisfied from all the experiences in this fantastic country, the tour takes you back to Kangerlussuaq, where you have opportunity to look around a bit before the flight later in the day takes you home to Denmark. You arrive in Copenhagen early in the morning at July 21^st

A la carte programme - only together with the basic package
To obtain the most possible from the long stay in Ilulissat we recommend at least one of below mentioned packages, which all include overnight stay at other destinations. The price for accommodation at Ilulissat is therefore deducted.

Qeqertarsuaq – The city on the Disco Island, 2 or 3 nights
From Ilulissat you sail to Qeqertarsuaq, which is situated on the Disco Island, 90 km from Ilulissat. Here you can experience a smaller city (appr. 1,000 inhabitants), with its green surroundings is something special at this northern latitude. From Hotel Disko, where you will be staying, you will go exploring the warm springs and the rich flora, while the ocean often bids you a sight of playing humpback whales. If you are well trained it's also a possibility to walk up to the Lyngmark Glacier, with the height of 8-900 metres can give you a possibility for a dog sledge tour – even in the summer.

The ships sails Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

4 small destinations – 4 big intensive expericences
A boat trip with 4 different destinations in the Disco Bay in 3 days. Accommodation and provisioning and activites at Ataa Summer Camp. In these 3 days there are visits to the little settlement Ilimanaq, the deserted settlement Ataa, the calving glacier at Eqi and finally another small settlement Rodebay.

Day 1 Departure with boat at 09.00hrs. At first the tour takes you to Ilimanaq, just south of the Ice Fiord at Ilulissat. After a short round tour in the settlement you will be served lunch at Arne's, who belong to one of the local families in the settelement. From Ilimanaq the boat takes you to Ataa, now a deserted settlement. Here the staff af Ataa Summer Camp bids you welcome and you will be served dinner. Accommodation at Ataa.

Day 2 This day bids you a sail to the famous calving glacier at Eqi Sermia, situated appr. 30 km from Ataa. The boat takes you as close at the glacier as the safety allows, and during a few hours you can enjoy the view before the tour takes you back to Ataa. Here the facilities of the camp can be used freely and it is possibilities for kayaking, canoeing, trekking or just relaxing in the fantastic nature. Dinner and accommodation again in Ataa.

Day 3 After breakfast the tour takes you back towards Ilulissat by boat. We stop at Rodebay, a settlement appr. 20 km north of Ilulissat, where we enjoy a lunch at the small Restaurant H8. You will arrive at Ilulissat appr. at 15,00hrs, so you can reach your flight back home.

The tour runs July 18-20. Our collaborators in Ilulissat run the tour with min. 8 persons, but there can be participants from other places, so contact us even though you are only 1 or 2 persons.

Eqi Sermia – the calving glacier, 1 or 2 nights
Only a few places in Greenland are as beautiful as the Eqi Glacier, which runs into the fiord 70 km north of Ilulissat. By boat it is possible to reach the edge of the glacier and experience the glacier calves into big icebergs. The sound from the calving is enormous and the sight of icebergs breaking off into the water is breathtaking. Close to the glacier a small place with huts, Ice Camp Eqi, is situated, where all huts have a view to the glacier and where it is possible to stay overnight.
There is departure by boat from Ilulissat early in the morning. Lunch is taken on board while the boat stays just in from of the glacier and while you can enjoy the view.
After lunch you can go ashore at the Ice Camp Eqi, where you stay 1 or 2 nights. It is also possible to buy trekkingtours – contact us for further information

Uummannaq, 3 nights
This tour starts with an air- and helicopterflight via Qaarsut to Uummannaq, which is one of the most northern cities in Greenland. The city is situated by the foot of the well known hartshaped mountain, which also have given the city its Greenlandic name. Here you find people for whom the traditional hospitality is not only of kindness but for survival. The harsh nature has made the people who still has fishing and hunting as their main occupation. In Uummannaq you will be staying at Hotel Uummannaq.
After 3 days on the small island, where Uummannaq is situated, you continue by ship towards Ilulissat. A tour taking 7 hours, but bids you a fantastic sight when the tour takes you north of the Disco Island and sailing around the Nuussuaq peninsula, reaching Ilulissat in the evening.

The tour runs Monday to Thursday, Tuesday to Friday and Friday to Monday.
