Dog sledge tour on the Lyngmark Glacier, all day tour
On the Disko Island you find the Lyngmark Glacier just above the city of Qeqertarsuaq. In summertime it is possible to walk to the glacier, which is located at 8-900 metres height. The tour is quite steep and some will find it too strenuous, but finally on top you'll have a fantastic view and eager dogs waiting to take you on 1½ hour dog sledge tour across the glacier. The tour is planned as a guided full day tour and the guide leads you on the 2 ½ - 4 hours walk up to the glacier, where a lunch is waiting. The dog sledge tour is runned in the afternoon, and before we descent you are offered dinner consisting of Greenlandic specialities.

Dog sledge tour on Lyngmark Glacier with overnight stay
Above tour can be prolonged with an overnight stay at the top of the glacier. That gives you a fantastic experience to explore the glacier in the light of the midnight sun. The overnight stay is in huts with sleeping bags. (Renting sleeping bags are included). After breakfast the following day we are returning to the city.

"Kaffemik" (Afternoon coffee break)
Experience a Greenlandic home from the inside, while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea and homemade cakes. There will also be rich opportunities to talk to one of the locals and maybe see the Greenlandic national costume more closely.

Whale safari
Whale safari on board a fishing boat, where you will have good chances to take pictures of whales. In the early part of the season we follow the Greenland whale, later in the summer, it is the humpback whale which impresses you with its huge graceful movements. Besides the whale watching the tour gives you an opportunity for shark-fishing.

Hike to Kuannit – the place with angelica and basalt columns.
There are lots to experience in Kuannit. You can see how the lava millions of years ago spouted and after a rapid cooling, followed by a contraction, has left cracks into the most exciting sculptures in the shape of the hexagonal structure known from the basalt columns. The area around Kuannit is very rich of different flowers and tasty angelicas. Halfway on the tour, down by the seaside, you can see a basalt column shaped like an elephant drinking water from the ocean.

Dog sledge tour to "Blæsedalen" (The Windy Valley)
We go by sledge along the sledge track 10 km north through the beautiful surveyed "Blæsedal" and same way home. Before the return trip a small sandwich and a hot drink is served.

Dog sledge tour to the Qivittut hut
This tour goes all the way through "Blæsedalen" out to Diskofiord. Here is an old hunting lodge, which is reached after approx. 4 hours of dog sledding through a beautiful snowscape. Here the dog is allowed to pause a couple of hours while the two-legged enjoy a packed lunch and something hot to drink.

On snow mobile - hour by hour
An experienced snow mobile driver will take you on an exciting adventure in the beautiful scenery of "Blæsedalen" and to high-altitude points with stunning views. Warm sealskin clothes can be rented for DKK 150,-

By snow mobile to the Lyngmark Glacier
The tour starts at. 11 behind the heliport. The passenger sits behind an experienced snowmobile driver and will before start get a few instructions about steep passages etc. After a half hour drive we arrive at the hut at the top of the Lyngmark Mountain just beside the Lyngmark Glacier, where you at 900 meters altitude can enjoy the view of a large part of Disko Bay. Upon arrival lunch will be served. Afterwards we go on a short trip at the glacier before we return to town. Warm sealskin clothes can be rented for DKK 150,-

Snow mobile trip with overnight stay
